In a financial statement released today, Ubisoft confirmed that a new Prince Of Persia sequel is in development and is set for release this year.
The new Prince Of Persia is set for release during Ubisoft’s next fiscal year which starts at April, 1, 2008 and ends at March, 31, 2009.

Funcom announced today a new release date for Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures.
Receiving 8 more weeks in development, Funcom’s MMO is now scheduled for May, 20, 2008. The game was originally set for release in 2007 but then it was postponed to March, 2008 and now to May.
According to Funcom, the game is already finished and the additional time will be spent testing and polishing it.

Since its announcement, little has been known about Far Cry 2 but, thanks to the latest issue of edge magazine, we now have some more details to share.
Consciously, Far Cry 2 will depart significantly from both Far Cry and Crysis. Far Cry 2 will emphasize on grimy realism. “Don’t expect mutants as some surprise later on”, said Far Cry 2 producer Lois-Pierre Pharand.

Blizzard Entertainment announced today that subscribership for World of Warcraft has continued to climb, recently passing 10 million worldwide.
According to Blizzard, interest in the game has remained high in all regions, with thousands of new and returning players signing up through the holiday season. World of Warcraft now hosts more than 2 million subscribers in Europe, more than 2.5 million in North America, and approximately 5.5 million in Asia.

Red Mile Entertainment announced today it has licensed Epic’s Unreal Engine 3 for the production of its forthcoming next-gen Sin City game.
“The Unreal Engine is one of the most technically advanced engines on the market and is a perfect fit for our Sin City video games”, said Red Mile president and COO Glenn Wong. “The engine has powered several of the best-selling games of all time and I am very glad we have the opportunity to arm our developers with such a world-class product.”

Rockstar’s entire catalogue of PC titles, from the Grand Theft Auto series to Max Payne, is now available for download from IGN’s Direct2Drive service. This is the first time any of the publisher’s games have been made available in digital form.
“We are excited to be opening our archives,” said Rowan Hajaj, Head of Finance and Corporate Development of Rockstar Games. “For the first time, fans will have the chance to explore our catalog of original, groundbreaking PC titles at the press of a button.”
The entire Rockstar collection can be downloaded for $60. Individual titles are mostly priced around $10.

After several rumors and several denials, Blizzard has finally confirmed working on a new top secret MMORPG.
The new game was partly revealed in Blizzard’s job listings where they asked for character and environment artists for a “Next-Gen MMO” marked “Top Secret.”

Since Mortal Kombat 4 has been released on the personal computer back in 1997, all names Mortal Kombat which followed, were console the documents which are located only in the given newspaper, it so, in norm to prepare which the following name in MK saga will be too. Right?
Not according to Epic. A list of Unreal Engine 3 powered games on Epic’s website revealed a game called Mortal Kombat 8 which will support Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 just as on the personal computer. EA announced that Army of Two, originally planned for a November release, has been delayed until early 2008.
“The declaration - that we place game in Q1 the next year, and the reason is grounded on a resonance which for us was internally and the external map. We wish to add only additional, Polish space to game”, said Alan Tascan, VP and General Manager of EA Montreal. “I think, that all would like it. Our job should admire the client, and we feel, that we should add the Polish language in time more.”
